- Once the cakes are done, allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn on to a wire cooling rack and allow to cool completely. If desired, once the cake is cool, cut each layer in half to get 4 smaller layers
- For the buttercream, using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and cream cheese on medium speed until light and fluffy. And the Nutella and beat until well combined
- With the mixer on low-speed, sift and add the powdered sugar gradually (about 1/4 cup at a time), mixing until incorporated after each addition. Then, increase speed to medium-high and beat until smooth
- Fit a piping bag with a large round tip and fill with some of the frosting
- Decorate with chocolate finger all around the cake and M&Ms on top
